Hit-It-a-Ton
Billy Butler and his wife, Katie, are committed to help feed the hungry in Kansas City. And they invite YOU to join them in this cause.
Two years ago they started "Hit It A Ton" as a way to raise money for two local food pantries, Bishop Sullivan Center and St. James Place. It costs us about $250 to buy a ton of food and distribute it; $125 for half a ton. We buy our food from Harvesters.
In addition to volunteering at these food pantries, the Butlers will personally donate a ton of food for every home run that Billy hits this year (last year he hit 21 home runs).
Most importantly, you can get involved, too. Making a donation to Hit-It-A-Ton earns you a baseball or bat autographed by Billy and an invitation to a "members only" picnic with Billy and Katie in August. Date and place to be announced later.
