Thanks to the generosity of the Catherin V. Merrill Foundation, Bishop Sullivan Center is proud to offer a summer internship program for Catholic college students to serve people who are in need or marginalized in our community.

 

Twenty five full-time positions are available at eight nonprofit organizations throughout Kansas City. Students are compensated $12 per hour with the potential for a bonus at the end of the summer depending on performance.

As requested by the Catherin V. Merrill Foundation, this program is for students entering their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of college in the fall of 2018 and are active in their Catholic faith.

Orientation for all interns will take place on May 21st, and the internship will run from May 29th to July 27th, 2018.

The application process involves:

 

  1. Online application

  2. One recommendation letter from an adult outside of your family

  3. One recommendation letter from your pastor or parish staff (or campus ministry equivalent).

  4. In person interview. If you attend school outside of Kansas City, your interview can be scheduled over a break.

Recommendations must be sent directly from person recommending applicant to Tom.Turner@BishopSullivan.org. 

Online application and your 2 recommendation letters must be submitted by 11:59pm on February 28th.

 

After your online application and recommendation letters are submitted, we will contact you to set up your interview.
