Thanks to the generosity of the Catherin V. Merrill Foundation, Bishop Sullivan Center is proud to offer a summer internship program for Catholic college students to serve people who are in need or marginalized in our community.

 

Twenty four full-time positions are available at 8 nonprofit organizations throughout Kansas City. Students are compensated $12 per hour with the potential for a bonus at the end of the summer depending on performance.

As requested by the Catherin V. Merrill Foundation, this program is for students entering their 2nd, 3rd, or 4th year of college in the fall of 2017 and are active in their Catholic faith.

Orientation for all interns will take place during the week of May 22nd, and the internship will run from May 30th to July 28th.

The application process involves:

 

  1. Online application

  2. One recommendation letter from an adult outside of your family

  3. One recommendation letter from your pastor or parish staff (or campus ministry equivalent). Recommendations must be sent directly from person recommending applicant to Phil.Smith@BishopSullivan.org by 11:59pm on March 1st. 

  4. In person interview. If you attend school outside of Kansas City, your interview can be scheduled over a break.
