Donate ItemsItems donated to Bishop Sullivan Center are a great help in meeting the needs of our community. These items are distributed directly to our neighbors through our food pantry, employment services, and clothing closet. Please review the lists of below of items that are most needed by our neighbors.
We welcome donations Monday-Thursday, 9 a.m-4 p.m. or Friday, 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at our locations on Truman and Troost. If you plan on bringing a large number of donations, please call ahead to ensure that we have enough space to accommodate your generosity.
Food
Canned chicken, tuna, or salmon
Low-sodium canned vegetables
Canned beans
Rice, quinoa, whole grain pasta
Instant mashed potatoes
Pasta sauce
Canned soup, stew, or chili
Canned fruit in its own juice or water
Applesauce
Dried fruit
Nuts
Peanut, almond, or sun butter
Shelf stable milk and milk substitutes
Cereal – hot and cold
Other non-perishable food that you and your family enjoy
Please check to be sure that your food to be donated is within the expiration date and is not in glass or otherwise fragile containers. Tip: canned goods with pop-top lids are great!
Clothes
Neighbors of all ages visit our clothing closet. We accept items for adults and children for day to day wear as well as items to meet work, school, and seasonal needs as listed below. Please ensure that clothes are either new or gently used and freshly laundered.

No-slip black shoes
School uniforms:
Solid polos in white, navy blue, black, red, or light blue
Pants, capris, shorts, skirts, or jumpers in black, navy blue, or khaki
