Christmas AssistanceSignups for 2023 Christmas Assistance have closed. If you were unable to sign up for the program but still need assistance, contact United Way at 2-1-1. If you are already registered for this year’s program and have questions, call us today at (816) 231-0984.
We offer Christmas assistance to help you meet your family’s needs and provide your children with some gifts for the holidays.
To be eligible for any of our Christmas assistance, families must meet the following guidelines:
- You have children age 17 or under for the rest of the calendar year
- You cannot be registered with another organization for Christmas assistance for the current year
- Your household has (or is eligible for) a Bishop Sullivan Center food pantry card
- If you live in zip codes 64120-64129, your household did not participate in Bishop Sullivan Center’s Christmas program in the previous year.
“Santa’s Helpers” Christmas Drive
If you are accepted into this program, you will be matched with a sponsor who will shop specifically for you and provide gifts for your family based on the wish list you provide.
Limited number of families will be able to sign up.

If you do not have a food pantry card, you will need the following items:
- Proof of address within the last 30 days such as a utility bill
- Social Security cards or birth certificates for everyone in your household for whom you would like gifts
- Proof of income from the last 30 days such as a paycheck stub, disability award letter, EBT card or unemployment check stub
Upon Calling, YOU MUST HAVE YOUR LIST ON HAND SO THE PROCESS CAN MOVE QUICKLY:
- Gift requests should not exceed a total of $40 per child.
- At least one gift request should be a necessity such as clothes or a coat.
- No requests for bikes or electronics will be accepted.
- Gift requested cannot be guaranteed.
